Project #4  Theme:

A perfect summer vacation, from the time I was 9, was to bike the two miles to the library, grab three weeks’ worth of books, bike home, pop a bowl of popcorn, and escape to wherever the pages would take me.  Not much has changed in the last few decades, and therefore have chosen the theme “The Joy of Reading.”

The actual idea for the key hole came from a book series I used to read my girls when they were young.  "Reading is the magic key to take you where you want to be."- Alice in Bibleland by Alice Joyce Davidson

A few of my favorite quotes from this are:

"On our wedding day, my fiance, James, arrived at the church in a casket" - Everything We Keep by Kerry Longsdale

"Someday you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again." - The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by CS Lewis

"Dinna fash yourself, Sassenach." - Outlander by Diana Galbadon

"And may the odds be ever in your favor!" - The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

And many, many more!
